GLORIA SALVA
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of the beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Gloria D. Salva of Shadyside, Ohio. She peacefully passed away in her sleep after a long battle with cancer in the early hours on January 13, 2024 in Columbus, Ohio. Gloria left behind a legacy of love, hard work, and a great passion for playing in the kitchen. She is survived by her sister Katherine Liberati, son Jay Salva (Katie Salva/wife), daughter Joy (Salva) Bonar (Rusty Kitzmiller/ fiance), Ryan Salva (grandson), Derek & Megan Bonar (grandson/wife), Faith Bonar (granddaughter), Ila Salva (granddaughter), Rhett Salva (grandson), and great-grandchildren Anthony & Annalynn Salva.
While we mourn the loss of Gloria, we also celebrate the life she lived and the love she shared. Gloria will forever remain in our hearts as a shining example of what it meant to be a strong woman and a hard worker. Her legacy will live on in the memories of those she touched, the wisdom she imparted, and the love she so generously gave. A celebration of Gloria’s life will take place on Saturday, February 17th from 1:00pm-4:00pm at the American Legion in Shadyside.
