SHERYL STECKER
Sheryl K. Stecker, born March 20, 1979, in Milan, Ohio, died peacefully in her home on December 31, 2023, after a long and courageous battle with brain cancer.
Sheryl lived her life with an unwavering positive attitude. Despite her illness, she consistently chose happiness, and her attitude affected and inspired all those around her. Sheryl worked as a consultant for Communications Counsel Inc. In addition, she freely gave of her time to her friends and family and many local charities and institutions.
Sheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel G. Paterson and Katherine G. Paterson (Gastier).
She is survived by her loving husband, Paul W. Stecker Jr., and two beloved children, Paul W. Stecker III and Graham T. Stecker. She is also survived by her sisters, Jennifer (Kirby) Scheer, Leanne (Dan) Kennedy and Melissa (Brandon) Davis; and in-laws Paul and Pamela Stecker Sr., Jennifer (Kurt) Gerchow and Mark (Jennifer) Stecker; and nine nieces and nephews she adored.
Visitation will be held January 5, 2023 at Keller Funeral Home, 615 Hanover St., Martins Ferry, from 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral will be held January 6, 2023 at 11 a.m. at St. Marys Church, 20 N. Fourth St., Martins Ferry.
