WILLIAM “BILL” WOOD
William Harvey “Bill” Wood, 90, of Moundsville, WV, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, OH.
He was born in Moundsville on March 22, 1933, a son of the late Wiley Joseph and Ella Edith Mae (Conner) Wood. Bill enjoyed football, square dancing and traveling the world with his fiancee.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis (Rhodes) Wood; his fiancee, Mary Jane McGilton; one daughter, Jamie McDowell; seven brothers and three sisters.
Bill is survived by his three daughters, Cynthy Wood, Terry (Jerry) Snyder and Brenda (Barry) Wood-Whitecotton; seven grandchildren; numerous great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews and special friend, Connie (Dave) Barries.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
