PHILLIP SAWCHUK
Phillip P. Sawchuk 83, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Wednesday February 7, 2024, at Forest Hills Nursing Home, St. Clairsville. He was born July 17, 1941, in Adena, a son of the late Pete and Stella (Grabits) Sawchuk.
Phil was a retired employee of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corporation, an Army Veteran, a member of St. Adelbert Catholic Church Dillonvale, and the American Legion McCook Post #527 of Dillonvale.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Sherry (Ciechomski) Sawchuk in 2023.
Phil is survived by his son Darrin (Jaclynn) Sawchuk of Bridgeport, a grandson Landon, a sister Patsy (Robert) Stramm of GA, and a nephew Robert (Pam) Stramm.
Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 154 Second St. Dillonvale on Friday February 9, 2024, from 4-8 pm and on Saturday from 10 am till time of service at 11 am, with Fr. William Cross as celebrant, interment in Holly Memorial Gardens Pleasant Grove. Full Military Graveside services will be conducted by the McCook Post of the American Legion Dillonvale.
