TRUDY KOWALCYK

Trudy Lee Kowalcyk, 75, of Maynard, passed away on February 9th, 2024.

She was born January 11, 1949, in Wheeling WV, daughter of the late Clarence Richard and Louise Riddle Josefczyk.

Trudy was a retired Registered Nurse of 40 years, working at OVMC in Wheeling, Barnesville Hospital, Bethesda Hospital in Zanesville, Wheeling Downs Racetrack, Park Health Center in St. Clairsville, Sunset Healthcare, Harrisville and as a private duty nurse in the Tri-State area. She was a co-owner and operator of Buck & Trudy’s Cheers in Maynard. She loved spending time with family and friends and traveling with her husband, and best friend “Buck.” She found joy in cooking, baking, and bowling at St. Clair Lanes. Her greatest joy was being grandma to her adored granddaughter, Kalista J’lyse. Trudy was a member of the Maynard United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Stanley “Buck” Kowalcyk; a daughter, Kimberlee (Jay) Kafana; granddaughter J’lyse Kafana with fiance, Josh Crawford; two sisters, Diane (Don) Getman and Jill (Gary) Scypta; Aunt Rita (Laney) Walters; Uncle Bob Riddle; Sisters-in-law, Joann Kokovich, Barbara Hilling, Sandy Kowalcyk; nieces, nephews, cousins; and many friends (Lisa and Robin) and her cats Bo and Sophie.

Family and friends are invited to visitation and celebration of life at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville Ohio on Monday March 4th, from 3pm until time of service at 4:30 pm, with Scott Black officiating.
