Verna Violena Lowe Dangelo, 70, of St. Clairsville, OH passed away on February 9, 2024, at Rolling Hills Rehabilitation Center in Bridgeport, Ohio.

She was born on February 4, 1954, in Washington, PA, a daughter of the late Ralph Hayes Zediker and Margaret (Fox) Zediker-Lewis

In addition to her parents, Verna was preceded in death by her first husband, John F. Lowe, son, Mark V. Ritter; her siblings, Margaret Lovejoy, Frances Kay Russell, Sue Ellen Zediker, Tammy Lea Jackowski, Ralph (Boxer) Zediker, and David Daniel Zediker and her second husband, Paul Dangelo.

Verna retired from Walmart as a Team Lead, where she dedicated herself to her responsibilities and made lasting connections with her colleagues. Beyond her professional endeavors, Verna had a wide range of interests that brought joy to her life. She found solace and fulfillment in crafting, crocheting, cooking, and baking. As someone who cherished the holidays, she eagerly anticipated each festive season and delighted in creating special memories with her family.

Above all, Verna valued spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, cherishing the moments they shared together. She found comfort and happiness in their presence, and they brought immense joy to her heart. Reading was also a passion of hers, allowing her to explore different worlds and lose herself in captivating stories.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories for her surviving family and friends to hold dear. Her children, Tammy (Keith) Jackson of Washington, PA; Ralph (Tausha) Ritter of Martins Ferry, OH; Peggy (Michael) McCort of St. Clairsville, OH; Larissa Lowe of Cadiz, OH; and John Lowe of Shelby, OH; as well as grandchildren, Chelsea Saffell, Haley Dunkle, Mason Marling, Megan Marling, Autumn McCort, Alexis Ritter, Brooke Ritter, Samuel Lowe, Jordan Ray, Johnny McCort, Bentley Keener, Isaac Lowe, Maverick Hague, Sterling Hague and great grandchildren, Preston Saffell, Elijah Dunkle, and Elliana Dunkle, will forever cherish the memories they shared with her.

Family and friends will be received at CARE Funeral & Cremation Specialists, 204 West Main Street St. Clairsville Ohio on Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Funeral services will be at the funeral home at 8pm. Private inurnment will be at the convenience of the family in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
