HARRY MOWDER
Harry E. Mowder, 76, of St. Clairsville passed away on March 18, 2024, in St. Clairsville, Ohio.
Harry was born on May 31, 1947 in Moundsville, West Virginia, a son of the late Harry Levette Mowder and Lona Lucille (Anderson) Mowder.
Harry dedicated his professional life to dentistry, having owned and operated his own Private Practice and more recently at MidAmerica Health. Apart from his successful career, he found joy in playing golf. Harry was also a member of the Belmont Hills Country Club. He made it a priority to see his beloved granddaughter, Rory daily. He also enjoyed going to dinner at Abbey’s Restaurant with his ‘bro’ Nunzio. Finally, he enjoyed sipping on bourbon on ice with his future son in law, Ryan.
Harry obtained his undergraduate degree at West Liberty University. He then went on to obtain his Doctorate from West Virginia University School of Dentistry, which laid the foundation for his impactful career in dentistry.
Harry is fondly remembered by his beloved wife, Catherine Ann (Flanagan) Mowder, as well as his children Jason Mowder, Cara (Ryan) Moore, Isaac (Maria) Mowder, and Haygen (Ryan Holmes) Mowder. His siblings, Joyce (Ted) Tsoras and Terry (Connie) Mowder, also mourn his loss, along with his cherished grandchildren Kalib, Madison, Brady, Ty Winters, Jacob, Zachary Mowder, Rory, and Harris Holmes, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private service will be held to honor and remember Harry. May his memory continue to bring comfort and solace to all who knew and loved him.
