JULIA MOOREHEAD NEITZELT

Julia Ann Proger Moorehead Neitzelt, 85, of Glencoe, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord, March 23, 2024.

She was born October 8, 1938, in Dunglen, Ohio, a daughter of the late Elizabeth Proger Burdess.

Julia was a retired employee of the Belmont Habilitation Center and the McCrory’s Store both in St. Clairsville. She was a 1956 Bellaire High School Graduate, a member of the Glencoe Senior Center, and the Glencoe American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed watching birds, fishing, and mowing her grass.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles E. Moorehead; second husband, Ronald J. Neitzelt; a stepson, Lee Moorehead; a sister, Marjorie Jackson; and a stepbrother, Raymond Burdess.

Julia is survived by her five children, Mike Moorehead, Julie Larish, Marissa (Timex) Eikleberry, Scott A. Neitzelt, and Mary “Maggie” (Brent) Stillion; two stepchildren, Chuck Moorehead and Charlotte Schaefer; a sister, Anna Jones; fourteen grandchildren, Michael, Ronald, Andrew, Logan, Julianna, Hannah, Sarah, Abbi, Jake, Taylor, Chad, Brooke, Regina, and Angie; and two great grandchildren, Jocelyn and Ronnie.

Family and friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio, on Wednesday, March 27 from 2-4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until time of service at 7:30 p.m. with Pam Duncan officiating. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be mad to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
