SHIRLEY STONE
Shirley Ann (Norris) Stone, 88, of Adena, formerly of Rayland, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 1, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 1, 1936, the daughter of the late Lincoln Norris, Jr., and Lima (Bess) and Charles Mehollim.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 yrs., Arthur Wayne Stone; son, Kevin Wayne Stone and brothers, Lincoln Norris, Jr. and Norman Norris.
Surviving is her brother, Ronald Mehollin (Linda); three daughters Cynthia Yanok (David), Valerie Jolliffe (John), Yvonne Kourim (Jason); nine grandchildren, Travis Yanok (Nichole), Ricky Westfall, Laura Saxton (Matt), Sarah Klug (Danny), Greg Stone (Ashley), Garrett Carter, Chase Milton, Drew Milton, Noah Kourim, ten greatgrandchildren, and many cherished and loved nieces and nephews.
Shirley was a member of the Faith Community Church (Methodist) in Pleasant Grove, OH. She had been a member of the Guild at the Mt. Pleasant, OH Methodist Church and held the president position of the Methodist Women’s Club. She sang in many cantatas and choirs. She loved planting flowers and taking care of her pets. Her favorite job was being a school bus driver for Buckeye Local Schools.
Shirley was loved by her family, so many friends and fellow church members, but most of all, she loved them first.
Family and friends will be received Tuesday, March 5, 2024, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second St., Dillonvale, Ohio 43917. The funeral service will be Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Ken Staley officiating. Burial to follow at Holly Memorial Garden, Pleasant Grove.
