CAROL POLLOCK

Carol Yvonne Little Bilica Pollock, 89, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, passed away peacefully in Emerald Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Barnesville, Ohio, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Glencoe, Ohio on April 6, 1935, a daughter of Lova Marie Little Bilica.

Carol was a 1953 graduate of St. Clairsville High School. She was a homemaker, worked at Fisher’s Big Wheel, Montgomery Ward and retired from Heavenly Ham in St. Clairsville, Ohio.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, GG, sister and aunt. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in St. Clairsville, a former president of the Catholic Women’s Club at All Saints Church in Blaine, Ohio and served as president of the St. Clairsville Child Study Club.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, Richard “Rich” G. Pollock; grandparents who helped raise her, Clarence Little and Evelina Norris Little Doyle; in-laws, Joseph and Mildred Pollock; brothers, Bernie and Michael Bilica; aunt, Phyllis Kelley; lifelong friend, Hilda Goff Saksa; and cousin, Larry McConnaughy.

Carol is survived by four children, son, Richard J. “Rick” (Paula) Pollock Sr. of St. Clairsville, Ohio, three daughters, Lova (Ben) Hitt of Wheeling, West Virginia, Kimberly (Robert) Massett of Sabillasville, Maryland, and Kara (Jon) Purtiman of Bellaire, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Richard J. “Rick” (Erin) Pollock Jr., Aaron (Stacy) Pollock, Kevin (Heather) Pollock, Jennifer (Andrew) Murray, Melissa (Kyle) Ferguson, Nicholas (Kristine) Neuhardt, Daniel Koval, Rylie and Sydney Purtiman; 13 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Linda Bilica; one niece and two nephews; several cousins and lifelong friends.

Carol and Rich enjoyed many travels in their 44 years together, especially the family vacations spent in Ocean City, Maryland and the winters spent in Cocoa Beach, Florida, where they found a little piece of paradise!

Friends and family are invited to a memorial graveside service at Union Cemetery, 201 Maple Ave., St. Clairsville, Ohio, on Saturday, April 27, at 1:30 p.m. with Father Thomas Chillog officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville.
