JANET ORLICH

Janet W. Orlich, 87, of Canonsburg passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 11, 2024.

She was born November 26, 1936, in Pittsburgh a daughter of the late Edward and Florence Crawford Weiss.

Janet enjoyed attending church at Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church when she had the opportunity.

Mrs. Orlich loved to draw and paint. She enjoyed traveling over the years to various international destinations including Europe, Russia, Egypt and on several cruises.

Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel employed her as a key punch operator until her retirement.

On November 25, 1972, in Bellaire, OH, she married Tony N. Orlich who died August 1, 1999.

Surviving are several cousins including Michael (Donna) Klein Sr., Brenda (David) McCrackin (her godchild), Michael (Jill) Klein Jr., Dr. Suzanne (Dr. James Scibilia) Vogel-Scibilia and Dr. Ned (Kathleen) Vogel.

Also surviving are a nephew Leonard (Chris) Sharp, a godchild Victoria Kasal, Brandon Kasal, and a great nephew, William Garamella.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother Blanche Crawford, and brother Gerald Weiss and a nephew Danny Weiss.

Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2024, in Mario L. DeAngelo Funeral Home at 194 E. College St. in Canonsburg. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home immediately following the visitation at 7 p.m. Wednesday with Pastor Don Coleman Officiating.

Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home, 3900 Central Avenue, Shadyside, OH, will be assisting with a graveside service on Thursday, April 18, at noon at Belmont County Memorial Cemetery, High Ridge Road, St. Clairsville, OH.
