DIANE CONROY
Diane L. Conroy, 70, of Jacobsburg, OH passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024 at home. She was born July 23, 1953 in Canton, OH, a daughter of the late Fred R. Shook II and Priscilla M. (Johnson) Dalto. She was also lovingly raised by her late stepfather, Carl F. Dalto.
Diane was Presbyterian by faith and an active member of the Rock Hill Presbyterian Church. Throughout her career, she was a celebrated self-employed baker and the Fiscal Officer for the Bellaire Park District. Beyond work, she shared her culinary knowledge at the Bellaire Farmer’s Market and actively championed for change as a member of the Women’s Club and the Chair of the Belmont County Democratic Party. To her community, she was a constant presence. To her grandchildren-she is the irreplaceable “Mimi.”
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger P. Conroy; sisters, Susan Myers and Patricia Ruckman; brother, Fred Shook III; grandson, Hunter Blake; and great-niece, Harlei Parker.
She is survived by a loving family, including her daughters, Tonya Shook, Julie (Mark) Joseph, Nichole Dubil, and Emily Conroy; sons, John (Mendi) Dubil and Ryan (Ashlee) Conroy; brothers, Mark (Charlotte) Fuchs and James (Donna) Fuchs; grandchildren, Walker, Logan and Sage Dubil, Payton and Paxton Marling, Eli and Elaina Bodnar, and Jameson Gates; an eagerly awaited great-grandson (baby Dubil); nieces, Angelique Parker and Shannon (Sam) Trifonoff; great-nieces, Lexie Parker, Ellie Kate Nelson, and Lainey Trifonoff; and soon-to-be-welcomed Baby Trifonoff. Diane is also survived by a wide circle of dear family and friends.
