JAMES FUTHEY

Jim was 89 years old. After 5 million miles on the road he has come to his last & final rest stop. He loved “Roamin in the Gloamin”.

Jim was an independent over the road truck driver for over 50 years. He could always tell you where to get the best pie in any state or where the best restaurants were. He loved his life on the road.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Genevieve (Hoskinson) & John R. Futhey; a brother, William R. Futhey; a son, Robert C. Futhey; and a daughter, Justine L. Fields.

Jim is survived by his children, A daughter-in-law, Terry Best, Karen (Ron) Clark of Shadyside, OH and Stacy (Robert) Holub of Centerville, OH; a brother, Michael Futhey of Mooresville, NC; a sister, Peggy (Jeff) Ellis of Thousand Oaks, CA; grandchildren, Robert, Cory, Kari, Matthew and Stevie; 6 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; the mother of his children, Phyllis Andrecht and numerous friends.

Arrangements by Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes, Shadyside, OH will be a celebration of life on Saturday May 18th from 2-6 PM at the Shadyside Tiger Pub. Memorial contributions may be made to Amedysis Hospice or the O.R.& W. Fire/Emergency Department at TMCFunding. com.
