JOSEPH ROY

He was born December 12, 1938 in Martins Ferry, Ohio a son of the late Joseph and Emma Julia (Veloski) Roy.

Joe was a 1956 graduate of Martins Ferry High School. Following graduation, he embarked on a twenty year career in the United States Air Force. Following his military career, he worked in administration at the Belmont-Harrison Vocational School District for the next twenty-two years until his retirement.

In his spare time, Joe was a musician and he enjoyed playing the piano and the guitar. He was a licensed Private Pilot, even owning his own plane. Joe loved sporty cars, especially Corvettes.

Surviving are his Wife of almost sixty-six years, Marilyn Slater Roy, children Joseph (Deanne) Roy of St. Clairsville, Ohio and Beth (Alex Cofield) Meek and grandson Collin Meek all of Hilliard, Ohio.

Per his wishes, there will be no services. Private arrangements will be held at the convenience of the family and have been entrusted to CARE Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 204 West Main Street St. Clairsville, Ohio 43950.
