RONALD BAKER

He was born March 19, 1944, in Martins Ferry, the son of the late Donald L. Sr. and Clara A. (Mobley) Baker.

Ron retired as a heavy equipment operator for Marietta Coal Company after 35 years. He was Methodist by faith, a proud veteran of the United States Navy, a member of the Yorkville V.F.W., and American Legion – Brilliant Post 573. He was a great outdoors person and enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, and camping.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Donald L. Baker Jr., Donald Delmont Baker, Ray Baker; sisters, Margie Ferrell, Patty Ludwig, and Remona Tabacci.

Surviving are the mother of his daughter, Ellen Baker; daughter, Alecia M. Baker of Cincinnati, little girl Molly; brother, Roy Baker of Tennessee, and many, many nieces, and nephews.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, June 25, 2024, from 4-7 p.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home, Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH, 43935. A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. with Rev. James Hoff officiating. Military Honors will be presented at the funeral home by the Belmont County Veterans Association.

Burial will be held at a later date at the convenience of the Family at Holly Memorial Garden, Pleasant Grove, OH.
