LARRY FIJALKOWSKI
Larry Fijalkowski, 83, of Neffs, OH,- a good and faithful servant of the Lord, passed from his earthly body to his perfect Heavenly home Thursday, July 25, 2024.
He was an eldest member of the Neffs Rod and Gun Club, a United States Army Veteran and was a retired Steel Worker at the Dana Corporation in Caldwell, OH. Larry loved most his God, his family, and any chance he had to fish.
He was a lifelong member of Neffs Methodist Church where every Sunday he offered the same praise, “I continue to thank God for my many blessings”. Larry was proud to have a pew full of family and a chair in the choir. He read his Bible daily and most recently included anyone at his table in his “reading”.
Larry was married 62 years to Sandy and he loved her clearly and beautifully to his last breath, and would tell you every time the secret was “the Lord”. Their prayers moved mountains and no family member left his house without knowing he loved them. Larry considered many to be family.
Our patriarch carried no less than 2 poles in his car and always had a secret fishing spot.
With the gentle love and care of his daughters, the guidance of his sons, the presence of his grandchildren and the hand of his wife, Larry had a beautiful passing.
The Fijalkowski family would like to thank the many neighbors in the Neffs community, the Neffs Emergency squad, the Stonerise Hospice team and our dear friend Sherri for all of the support they provided.
Larry leaves behind his wife, Sandra (Turner) Fijalkowski, children Eric (Carrie) Fijalkowski, Carol (Roger) Tipton, Renee (Bryan) Ramsay and Brenda (Roger) Myers. Grandchildren Morgan (Brandon) Heath, Branden (Jenny) Krock, Kaitlyn (Michael) Cilles, Sarah (Shawn) McCleary, Jacob (Bailey) Fijalkowski, Tyler Ramsay, Mason (Logen) Ramsay, Annie (Austin) Southwood, Isaak Myers and Jade Myers, 14 great- grandchildren, A sister Connie Nowak, brother Dan (Sandy) Fijalkowski and brother-in-law Chuck (Connie) Turner.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Lula (Miner) Fijalkowski, brothers John and Robert and a sister Brenda.
“When my rods are old and my reels are shot, when all my fishing days are done and I get my call beyond the sun, I pray I won’t cry and weep because my Lord found me big enough to keep”-Larry.
In lieu of flowers, the family would ask you to pay a kindness forward and think of Larry.
