MICHAEL GIBSON
Michael “Gibby” Gibson, 65, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away at Barnesville Hospital on July 26, 2024. He was born on July 2, 1959, a son to Charles W. Gibson and the late Judith L. (Rowley) Gibson.
Gibby retired from being the Street Superintendent of Barnesville. He was the Treasurer of the Sons of the American Legion of Barnesville, Post 168. He was hardworking, a great handyman, and liked to garden. He was an avid OSU and Cleveland Browns fan. He loved traveling with his wife, Lauri, and being with family and friends. Gibby also enjoyed spending time with his favorite cat, Fat Cat Katy.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lauri Gibson; children, Hillary (Jason) Abrigg, Kyle Gibson; step-children, Derek (Jen) Allar, Deirdre (Jeff) Wehr; grandchildren, Lakyn, Jaydon, Landyn, Ethan, Maddie, Hunter, Keirah, Cole, Aryanna; siblings, Kay Mankin, Krista (Bink) Littleton, Mark (Brandi) Gibson; and mother-in-law, Alice Hall.
Visitation will be on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2024 from 11am to 2pm and then from 5-7pm at the Wilson Funeral Home, Barnesville Chapel, 702 East Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio 43713. Friends and family are invited to a luncheon from 2:30-4:30 at the American Legion in Barnesville. At 6pm, everyone is invited to share a memory or story about Gibby at the funeral home. Cremation will follow.
