PEGGY HERRLEIN
Peggy Ann McElwain Herrlein, 67, of Bethesda, Ohio, died July 15, 2024, in WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia.
She was born April 19, 1957, in Wheeling, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Daniel and Caroline Geraldine Hall McElwain.
Peggy was a retired Registered Nurse from the Cardiac Rehabilitation Center at Barnesville Hospital and formerly of the D.O.N. of St. Clairsville Health Care Center. In addition to being an avid reader, she enjoyed Hiking, Kayaking, Bicycling and the outdoors. Peggy was the proudest mom of her son Daniel.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Herrlein, and a brother, Tommy McElwain.
Peggy is survived by her son, Daniel (Samantha) Herrlein; a brother, Dan (Gretchen) McElwain; her father-in-law, Jay (Barbara) Herrlein; and her cats, Callie and Bella.
Family and friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio, on Friday from 4 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m.
