TERRY TOOHEY

Terry grew up in Barnesville, Ohio, where he developed a lifelong love of sports, and, more importantly, met the love of his life, Celia. A graduate of Bethany College, Terry worked for several insurance companies until he retired. Terry was much more than a provider for his family; he will be remembered for his wisdom and guidance in his home and as an elder in his church.

Terry taught his three sons how to be strong men, loving husbands, and involved fathers. He leaves behind his three sons: Eric (Abbey) Toohey, Adam (Anne) Toohey, and Sean (Emily) Toohey; seven grandsons and one granddaughter: Peter, David, James, Joshua “JJ”, Jack, Silas, William, and

Nora Toohey; his brother Tim (Margie); and six nieces and nephews.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Cecelia Toohey.

The family would like to thank Arden Courts of Jefferson Hills and Heartland Hospice for providing the loving and involved care necessary in Terry’s last few years.

The family will have a private burial, but those who knew and loved Terry are invited to a memorial service and dinner at Peters Creek Evangelical Presbyterian Church at 4:00pm on Tuesday, July 30.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Peters Creek Evangelical Presbyterian Church (250 Brookwood Road, Venetia, PA 15367).
