GENEVA “JENNY” BELL

She was born July 12, 1928, in Bellaire, OH, a daughter of the late Edward and Savilla Jane Ross Hannan.

She was a retired loan officer for the former Ormet Credit Union and Owner \ Operator for 28 years at Bell’s Store, both in Clarington. Jenny was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ and Golden Links.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph “Gus” Bell; daughter-in-law, Denise Knight Bell; three sisters, Ruth Lawrence, Alberta Porter, and Joanne Freno; and two brothers, Robert Lee and Richard Hannan.

Survivors include two sons, Thomas (Erin) Bell of Saint Marys, GA and Robert D. (Cynthia) Bell of Willoughby, OH; daughter, Susan (Steve) Hafer of Proctor, WV; two sisters, Judy Gerdau of Shadyside, OH and Carol Shaddock of Garland, TX; 10 grandchildren, Lea (Craig) Bentley, Mandy (Tim) Klug, Jay Bell, Becky (Greg) Rempe, Vicki (Ron) Gainer, Krissy Klouda, Cassie Storm, Jessie (Nate) Lueders, Margeau (Eddie Hayes) Hafer and Ashley (Bill Knight) Hafer; 20 great grandchildren and expecting a great-great grandchild.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm at the Grisell Funeral Home 125 Clarinda Dr. Clarington, OH, with Pastor Bill Stokes officiating.

Interment will follow in Clarington Cemetery.
