LOIS FORSCH
Lois Eileen Lipphardt Forsch, 98, of the Warwood area of Wheeling, W.Va., died August 11, 2024 at Belmont Manor.
She was born May 3, 1926 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, daughter of the late Raoul David and Edith (Riggs) Lipphardt.
Lois was a 1944 graduate of Martins Ferry High School. Following graduation, she worked in the payroll offices of Wheeling Steel at their Wheeling office. She was a member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wheeling and the Oglebay Women’s Golf Association.
Lois had a passion for golf, theater, film, and music. She loved watching the local birds and gardening in her backyard. She was a competent musician who played guitar into her 90s.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Arthur E. Forsch.
She is survived by her three children, Carolyn Sue White (Harry), Casey Forsch (Pam), and David Forsch; her four grandchildren, Shelley White-Lyons (Robert), Matthew Forsch (Ashley), Sara White, and Courtney Mellor (Justin);great-grand daughters, Delilah and Genevieve Mellor; her brother, David R. Lipphardt (Jan); and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received Monday, August 19, 2024 from 11 AM until the time of service at 1 PM with Pastor Deborah Gable officiating at Kepner Funeral Home, Burke Chapel, 2101 Warwood Ave., Wheeling (304-277- 2722).
Interment to follow in Greenwood Ceme- tery, Wheeling.
