MARION THOBURN
Marion “Lee” Thoburn, 68, of Shadyside, OH passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry, OH.
He was born on November 18, 1955 in Wheeling, WV, a son of the late Doreen (Trigg) Gelner.
Lee dedicated many years of his life to working at Knight Manufacturing and as a security guard for McKeen Security at Wheeling Hospital. He enjoyed coaching flag football, baseball, softball and took great pride in serving as the Shadyside Marching Band Parent President.
Surviving are his cherished life partner, Tish Holden; daughter, Richelle (Chris) Thoburn Ford; his grandchildren, who were his pride and joy, Christiana & Holden Ford; brothers, Byron (Jean) Thoburn, Jim Joe (Hope) Thoburn and Roger (Rhonda) Thoburn, sister and brother-in-law, Darlene and John Bergund, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 3900 Central Avenue Shadyside, OH 43947 on Thursday, September 12, 2024 from 1:00pm until the time of service at 3:00pm.
