NANCY (KOCHER) MAINE
Nancy Ellen (Kocher) Maine, originally of Ohio, departed from this life on September 16th, 2024, in Cookeville, TN, surrounded by her family who loved her deeply. She was born on August 6, 1943, in Belmont County, Ohio to the late Ida Mae (Bennett) and Charles “Cliff” Kocher.
Nancy was an avid reader who loved to laugh, drink coffee, play games (especially on her computer), and spend time with her family. She was a caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her stepmother Edith (Hoisington) Kocher; infant son Hugh Scott Nash; sister and brother-in-law Peggy Lou (Ralph) Carter; brother Charles “Dale” Kocher; and several nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her husband Raymond Maine; 2 sons: Kevin Nash and Brad Maine; daughter Linda (Lee) Hunter; 7 grandchildren: Lauren (Wyatt) England, Emily Nash (David Hobbs), Hannah (Justin) Holeman, Zoey Maine, Fort Hunter, Anastasia Maine, and Echoe Maine; 5 great-grand- children: Eli England, Evie England, Juliet Hargis, Cora Holeman, and Olivia Hargis; brother George Robert “Bob” (Janet) Kocher; sister-in-law Shirley Kocher; and several nieces and nephews.
To honor Nancy’s wishes, no memorial services will be held.
