MARGARET KUBA
Margaret L. (Peggy) Kuba, 98, of Saint Clairsville, Ohio died October 27, 2024 at Valley Hospice Liza’s Place in Wheeling, West Virginia.
Peggy, a daughter of the late Andy J. and Mary Szolosi Kozsuch, was born on March 22, 1926, in Saint Clairsville, Ohio.
Upon graduating from high school and during World War II, she went to Washington DC to work as a typist and clerical staff member for the Department of Navy. After the war, she returned home and worked as a telephone operator and secretary. She also worked at K’s Market which was owned by her father and two of her brothers. After her husband retired, she worked at Stone and Thomas and JC Penney department stores for 11 years.
Peggy was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved spending time with and sending cards to all of the special people in her life. She enjoyed walking, reading, writing, baking, doing yard work, working on arts and crafts projects, and sitting on her porch swing.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Mike and her daughter Kathy, three brothers Andy, Albert and Paul, and three sisters Anne Selva, Marjorie Winterhoff and Irene Upole. Surviving are her son Mike, daughter-in-law, Shawn, and granddaughter Katie.
Friends will be received on Friday, November 8, 2024 from 10:30am until 11:30am at Saint Mary’s Church, 212 W. Main St., Saint Clairsville with Catholic Funeral Mass at 11:30am. Burial will be held at Union Cemetery in St. Clairsville.
