WILBUR MORRISON

He was born in Bellaire, OH on April 20, 1931, a son to the late Elmer and Alta (Borchert) Morrison.

Wilbur worked for Kanawha Steel & Equipment Company for over 38 years and worked his way up to becoming Vice President before it was sold to Logan Corporation. He retired after a total of 40 years.

He was a loving and faithful husband, father, grandfather and was blessed with the best friends any man could have. He was an Ohio State Buckeyes fanatic, which both he and his wife shared a love for. He was also a Bellaire Big Reds fan and could be seen at most of the football and basketball games with his wife. He loved to work with the youth at the old First Reformed Church in Bellaire and over the years served as a Sunday school superintendent, deacon, elder, trustee and sang in the choir. His commitment continued at Thoburn United Methodist Church in St. Clairsville, where he formed meaningful connections with the youth in the Logo’s program.

In addition to his parents, Wilbur was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Donna Morrison; sisters, Leah Salvaterra and Edna Mae Bonar and infant grandchildren, Christopher and Lynn Marie Morrison.

He is survived by his children, Karen (Chuck) Howell and Thomas (Cathy) Morrison; granddaughter, Dr. Krista Morrison and his special friend, Rose Merryman.

Family and Friends can be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory, 441 37th Street, Bellaire, OH on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Additional visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am with Reverend Phil Bliss officiating. Graveside to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Bellaire, OH.
