CWO3 (RET) BRUCE STEWART
CWO3 (Ret) Bruce Armand Stewart, USA was born in Bellaire, Ohio on 11 August 1951 to Walter and Marjorie Stewart. He passed away on 18 October 2024 in Warrenton, Virginia. He is survived by his daughter, Col (Ret) Mary Stewart, USAF; several brothers and sisters, including his eldest brother, Charles (Linda) Young and his youngest sister, Kathy (Doug) Soukup; his former spouse, Janet Stewart; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son, Mark Stewart; his parents; his sisters, Jeanne Stewart and Sharon Briggs; and his favorite dog, Ryder. In addition to his immediate family, he leaves behind his beloved friends, the Ramos family, especially his dearest friend, Mayoli Ramos, as well as many brothers and sisters in arms who meant the world to him.
Chief Stewart was a retired US Army officer who served 23 years in active service, including three combat tours across Vietnam, Central America and the Persian Gulf. Among his military honors and decorations, he was awarded the Legion of Merit and the Bronze Star. Following his military retirement, he served as an Executive Vice President at CACI, International.
Services will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a date to be announced.
