Seita, Marlene Elizabeth Avare (86) of Shadyside, Ohio died peacefully on October 23rd, 2024.

Marlene was born on June 7, 1938 in Adena, Ohio, a daughter of Giovanni and Angeline (Doloresco) Avare.

Marlene was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Shadyside, Ohio, a member of the Catholic Women’s Club, and a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Society. Marlene served God as a Eucharistic Minister for many years.

Her strong Catholic faith led her to teach the First Holy Communion 2nd grade CCD class for 18 years under the great leadership of Fr. Peter Sartori. Marlene has also instructed Baptism and Confirmation classes.

Marlene has numerous certifications from the Diocese of Steubenville from Bishop Albert Ottenweller.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Joseph B. Seita and infant granddaughter, Shelby Seita.

Surviving are her children, son Joseph Seita of Orlando, Florida, son Gregory Seita, MSSM, of Syracuse, New York, a daughter Colleen (David) Venincasa of Orlando, Florida, and a daughter Marlene (Joseph) Fabian of Ft. Myers, Florida. Marlene was blessed with 9 grandchildren, Tara, Ashley, and Zachary Seita of Neffs, Ohio, Jacob, MS, (Simone, ARNP) Fabian of Denver, Colorado, Dr. Jessica (Dr. Dominic) Cordisco of Cape Coral, Florida, Victoria Fabian, ARNP of Ft. Myers, Florida, Dr. Vincent (Dr. Kiran Sethi) Venincasa of Dallas, Texas, Dr. Michael (Dr. Emilie) Venincasa of Miami, Florida. God blessed Marlene with 2 great granddaughters, Soleil Juliette Venincasa and Mila Lucie Venincasa.

Private Catholic services were held by her 4 children.

Funeral liturgy with mass was celebrated at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Fr. Daniel Heusel as celebrant.

Interment followed at Holly Memorial Gardens where Marlene was laid to rest between her father, Giovanni and her husband, Joseph. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Shadyside, Ohio.

Rest in peace Marlene. You’ve served God well with your time on earth and God will never forget all that you did for Him and how you spread His word. God has a special place for you in Heaven.
