DOMINICK DAVOLIO
Dominick Anthony Davolio Jr, of Bellaire, OH, 93, peacefully passed away on Wednesday January 8th, at Liza’s Place in Wheeling
Dom was born August 29, 1931, in Bellaire, OH, the only son to the late Mary (Catarinacci) and Domenico Davolio Sr.
He was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, in Bellaire, OH.
In addition to his parents, Dom was preceded in death by sisters Josephine (Melee), Martha (Scaffidi), and Flora (Ciofani); along with daughter Penny (Ramsay) and the love of his life, wife Elda (Albaugh).
He will be missed and forever remembered by his children, Michael (Lee Ann) Davolio, Joan (Charles) Busby, Dominick (Susan) Davolio III, Mark (Carol) Davolio, and son-in-law Dale Ramsay; grandchildren Michele Ramsay, Renea Ramsay, Ashley (Peter) Casuccio, Dominick (Audrey) Davolio IV, Dylan Davolio, Haley (Andrew) Crawford, and Erin (Michael) Taylor; great grandchildren, Alexandra Will, Angelo, Leonardo, and Giulia Casuccio, Ryden Davolio, and Dante and Arianna Crawford; and sister Victoria (Miller). Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Dom graduated from Bellaire High School in 1950, enlisted in the US Army and served in the Korean War.
Dom and Elda were wed in 1952 and lovingly raised five children, teaching them the value of hard work, the joys of recreational fun, and the importance of family.
Dom retired from AEP Ohio Power after 38 years of service. He was proud of his Italian heritage and was a lifetime member of Bellaire Sons of Italy, working as Club Manager and Officer for many years.
He was also a lifetime member of the Bellaire American Legion, DAV, and VFW.
One of Dom’s greatest qualities in life was his ability to help people and his generosity was never ending.
He lived his life fully and actively, enjoying his time spent with his loving family, his dear friends… and his John Deere tractor.
A memorial mass will be held at St. John’s Catholic Church in Bellaire, OH on Saturday January 18, 2025 at 12pm. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
