MARIANNE FINAN

Marianne V. (Marling) Finan, 81, of Bellaire, Ohio died peacefully Thursday, January 9th, 2025, surrounded by family at WVU Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, West Virginia.

She was born February 5th, 1943, in Zanesville, Ohio. Daughter of the late William and Ruth (Dutcher) Marling.

She spent her life as a homemaker as well as working with her sister and mother hanging wallpaper all over the valley as “The Wallnuts”. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Bellaire, Ohio.

In addition to her husband Thomas E, Finan, she was proceeded in death by her parents and in-laws, Edwin and Regina Finan.

Marianne was a loving wife and mother. She never knew a stranger and always had a smile on her face.

Surviving are her children, Jill Finan Kuhns (Dan Smith); Jana (Christopher) Conroy and Jodi (Ron) Green. Her grandchildren Jarett (Christine) Kuhns; Carson Kuhns; Dalton (Kaylee) Conroy; Mackenzie (Zach) Meadows; Brennon (Abbey) Conroy; Addison and Rylie Conroy; Joseph and Michael Green. Her great grandchildren; Claire, Alexander, Joy, Oaklyn, Jack, Millie and another due in August. Her sisters, Judy (Lou) Calagis and Penny (Gary) Kaldor. Her sister-in-law, Barbara (James) Circosta. Many nieces and nephews.

We would like to thank the administration and staff at Continuous Care Center as well as CV Stepdown & ICU of Wheeling Hospital for their care.

Visitation will be held at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Sunday, January 12, 2025, from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m.

Additional visitation for Marianne will be at St. John’s Catholic Church in Bellaire, from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 11 a.m., celebrated by Father Dan Heusel. Per her wishes, Marianne will be cremated and remains buried at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Bellaire, Ohio.
