MARY LISH

Mary Eliza Lish, a cherished member of the Bellaire community, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2025, in her hometown of Bellaire, Ohio. She was 86 years old.

Born on September 2, 1938, in Bellaire, Ohio, Mary was the beloved daughter of the late Sarah and Frank Marlin. She spent her entire life in Bellaire, where she cultivated deep roots and lasting relationships.

Mary dedicated many years to serving others as a Nurses Aide with Bellaire City Schools. Her compassionate nature and dedication to her work left a positive impact on countless students and colleagues.

She was a proud and devoted member of the South Bellaire Methodist Church, where she formed enduring friendships and contributed to her community’s spiritual life.

Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Lish; her son, Jim Lish; her brothers, George “Ott” Marlin, William “Bill” Marlin, Bob Marlin, and Frank “Mike” Marlin.

She is survived by her sons, Joe (Pattie) Lish, George (Cyndi) Lish, and Tom (Jean) Lish; her dear sisters, Gerri Heath and Deborah Marlin Palmer; her brother, Jeff (Margie) Marlin; her daughter-in-law, Linda Lish; ten grandchildren; eight great-grand children; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her family and friends will forever cherish the memories they shared with her and the love she gave so freely.

Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 37th Street Bellaire, Ohio on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Additional visitation will take place on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 12 p.m. with Pastor Bill Marinelli. Burial to immediately follow at High Ridge Cemetery.
