NANCY SOLAR
Nancy Ann Solar, 79, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died Wednesday, March 5, 2025, in Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, West Virginia.
She was born March 11, 1945, in Flushing, Ohio, a daughter of the late Moses Gillam and Mitzi Mistovich Gillam.
Nancy was owner and operator of Americana Beauty Salon. She was a member of the former St. Cyril Methodius Orthodox Church in Bellaire and current member of St. John the Divine Greek Orthodox Church in Wheeling, West Virginia.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. “Bob” Solar; and a brother, Mitch Gillam.
Nancy is survived by her sister, Mary Gillam; nieces and nephews, Fr. Joel Gillam, Mitch Gillam, Mike Gillam and Barb Gillam; great nieces and great nephews; and her very close friends and caregivers, Terry and Char Pugh and Bob and Carol Sabo and their families.
Family and friends will be received at the St. John the Divine Greek Orthodox Church in Wheeling, West Virginia on Monday, March 10, 2025, from 9 a.m. until the time of Funeral Liturgy at 10 a.m., with Fr. Demetrios Tsikouris and Fr. Joel Gillam officiating.
The entombment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove. Arrangements are entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
