ROBERT ROBERTS
Robert “Bob” Roberts, 85, of Bannock passed away on February 6, 2025, WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling, West Virginia.
Born on February 12, 1939, in Bannock, Ohio the son of the late Isaac and Evelyn Street Roberts.
Bob devoted much of his life to hard work and family. Bob was a steel worker by trade and a United States Marine Veteran. In addition to his work in the steel industry, Bob was the proud owner of the former Bob’s Bar in Bannock.
He was also an avid sports fan, reveling in the triumphs of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
A man of camaraderie and fellowship, Bob was a proud member of the VFW Post 5356, the Lafferty Moose Lodge, and the American Legion, where he cherished the friendships and memories formed over the years.
Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rosemarie Gatti Roberts, his sons, Robert I. Roberts Jr. and Jason Roberts, and his siblings, Sue Roberts and Frank Roberts and Ellen “Sis” Schroeder.
He leaves behind a loving legacy, survived by his granddaughter Rebecca (Dillion) Giesey, his daughter-in-law Heidi (Jason Palmer) Roberts, and his brother, Jim Roberts.
In accordance with his wishes, no formal services will be held. Bob’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be laid to rest privately next to his wife, Rosemarie in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville, Ohio.
