TONYA WHITEMAN

She was born on September 12, 1972, in Steubenville, OH, to Barbara J. (Phillips) Swartzmiller and the late Larry Swartzmiller.

Tonya was a graduate of Buckeye SouthWest High School and graduated Jeff Tech. Tonya was a Senior Account Manager for Joyce CPA Accounting. She was a trustee for the Ohio Vally Down Syndrome Support Group and a member of the Tiltonsville United Methodist Church. Tonya’s life was her family, participating in Clarrisa’s Buddy Walk and Miracle League Games. She will be greatly missed!

In addition to her mother, Tonya is survived by her husband, Michael Whiteman; her daughter, Clarissa Whiteman; half- brother, Michael Swartzmiller, half- sister, Tammy (Randy) Crowe; a nephew, Joshua Crowe and her in-laws, Sonja and Michael Whiteman and sister in-law, Missy and (Todd) Yunker.

Friends will be received to pay tribute to Tonya and celebrate her life of Friday, March 7th from 4-8, at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH and on Saturday from 11 am until the time of service of 1 pm, with Reverend Tom Thomas officiating.
