PENNY WILLIAMS
Penny L. Williams (Burgy), 77, of St. Clairsville, Ohio left this world and gained her wings on April 6, 2025 at WVU Medicine, Wheeling Hospital surrounded by her family.
Penny was born on April 17, 1947 in Martins Ferry, Ohio a daughter of the late Harold W. Burgy and Laura Lee Porter Burgy.
Penny was a loving daughter, mother, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed taking trips to Amish Country, attending Wheeling Nailer Hockey Games, shopping for crafts and spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids, ESPECIALLY Scottie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Bert “Bop” and Laura Burgy, maternal grandparents, Thomas and Lucille Porter, brother, Harold R. “Randy” Burgy and by her husband and best friend of 42 years, Donald L. Williams.
Surviving are her two children, Donna (Brad) Highley of Reader, WV and Thomas (Helen) Williams of St. Clairsville, Ohio, brother; Kevin (Colleen) Burgy of Bridgeport, Ohio, grandkids; Scottie Blacker, Brittany (Andy) Brown, Jesse (Erin) Blacker, Travis (Taylor) Williams, Taylor (Chris) Wade, Laura (J.C.) Thrash, Michael (Carissa) Highley, and Brandi John as well as 16 great-grandkids, nieces, nephews and many other close family and dear friends.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home 441 37th Street in Bellaire, Ohio on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 from 11:00am until time of service at 2:00pm. Immediate burial at Davis Cemetery, Bellaire, Ohio.
