BARBARA (PAPP) STRAFACE

Born July 9, 1945, Martin’s Ferry, Ohio, daughter of the late Andrew A. Papp Jr. and Eunice (Sirtoli) Papp.

A graduate of Martin’s Ferry Vocational School of Cosmetology. She was a licensed optician retiring from Belmont Eye Clinic Youngstown, Ohio.

She married the love of her life, John A. Straface Sr. August 14, 1965.

Member of Blessed Sacrament Church; running Blessed Sacrament Church’s bingo.

An avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan, enjoyed watching figure skating, gymnastics, baseball and old movies from yester-year. Enjoyed spending time with family, friends, playing cards, bingo and the casino.

She was kind, compassionate, caring and continued in life with a huge heart, dignity and poise.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John A. Straface Sr., son, John A. Straface Jr., sister, Andrea K. Papp, in-laws Madlyn and Tim Beiswenger, aunts, uncles and cousins.

She leaves a daughter, Tracy Ann Straface and son-in- law Jody A. Moore of Warren, Ohio; sister Louise (Papp) May, Walnut, California, brother Andrew A. Papp III Randelman, North Carolina, in-laws Gloria and Craig Closser Yorkville, Ohio and many nieces, nephews, cousins, also her “fur” grand dog Angel.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, May 20, 2025, St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish Blessed Sacrament Church 3020 Reeves Rd. N.E. Warren, Ohio.

Burial: All Souls Cemetery Cortland, Ohio.
