THOMAS ANDERSON
Thomas M. Anderson, 72, formerly of Bridgeport, OH, passed away on April 30, 2025, following a lengthy illness. He was born October 8, 1952, at Wheeling Hospital, the son of William J. Anderson, Sr. and Betty Mae (Wensyel) Anderson.
Tom graduated from Bridgeport High School, Class of 1971, where he was a stand-out second baseman for the Bulldogs. He also played softball and loved to golf every chance he got in his adult life. Tom was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, a Los Angeles Lakers fan, an Ohio State University fan and a Pittsburgh Pirates fan.
Tom had a degree from DeVry University in Columbus in Electronic Engineering. He started out as a bench technician and eventually became a plant manager, supervising hundreds of employees until his retirement in 2018.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Natascha, a niece, Jody Lynn (Anderson) Bain and an older brother, William J. Anderson, Jr. Tom is survived by his brother John (Susan) Anderson, nephew Brian (Robin) Anderson, nephew Joseph (Linda) Anderson, niece Jennifer (Chris) Groves and nephew Johnny Anderson. He also will be sadly missed by great nieces and great nephews Kristin (Billy) Moore, Jacob Bain and Kaylee Bain.
Family and friends will be received Friday May 30, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM and again on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from10am till time of memorial service at 11am, at Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside, with Father John Mucha officiating. The burial will be at Weeks Cemetery Bridgeport.
