LEAH MONAHAN

Leah May Monahan was born, Shadyside, Ohio on December 9, 1936, to the late Edgar Ellis Richards and Grace McLoud Richards. She left this earth on June 8, 2025, to be with her Lord and Savior in Wiggins, Mississippi after a brief illness.
She was a member of Bellaire Christian Church and was a graduate of Bellaire High School Class of 1954. After graduating high school, she went to work as a paralegal/secretary for Thomas, Fregiato, Myser, Hanson Law Firm.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Jerry” Monahan, and her first husband, Ralph Paul Mooney, brother, John Ellis Richards, and sister, Linda D. Fulton.
Survived by her children, George “Rick” Mooney and his wife Connie Meadows Mooney of Wiggins, MS. Robert C. Monahan and his wife Jodi Smith Monahan of Carroll, OH; and Jacqueline Monahan Garcia of Circleville, OH; seven grandchildren, Paul Mooney and his wife Maggie, Raylynn Mooney Sullivan and her husband Mason; Kyle, Ryan and Andrew Monahan, Tiana and Brendan Garcia and his wife Olivia Garcia; great grandsons Hunter Alexander, Hudson and Hollis Sullivan; great granddaughter Amelia Garcia; and several nieces and nephews.
