An Angel on Earth Receives Her Wings

Nancy June Hudson (Kramer) went home to meet her Savior and reunite with her late husband Gary Lee Hudson Sr. on Thursday May 29, 2025. Born January 10, 1949 to the late Fred Kramer and Virginia “June” Kramer (Oliver) of Martins Ferry, Ohio. Preceded in death by sister Lori Ann Kramer, brother Michael “Mickey” Kramer, niece Sarah Hudson, and nephew Jason Robson. Survived by children Gary Hudson Jr., son Jamie Hudson, daughter Stacey (Greg) Wells, granddaughter Maddison (Erik) Shaffer, sister Cindy Robson, Bruce (Joan Ellen) Kramer, sister Wendy Kramer and many beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Nancy loved her family deeply and was very active in her community and her church and could be found supporting her kids at school, sporting events, the community pool, boosters clubs, and Teen Institute. She loved to cook, and she was called the best cook in the world by her children; she prepared many meals and baked goods for family, friends and events, baked and decorated cakes lovingly known as Nannycakes, and also spent many hours in the Woodsfield United Methodist Church cooking and baking for her church’s outreach program “lovin’ from the oven.”

Nancy loved to sing, dance, dive and swim. As a child, she competed as a tap dancer. She continued her love for dancing, cooking, baking and singing at the Moose Lodge. She and her late husband loved to go to the Moose for karaoke and line dancing.

Her love for friends and family had no bounds. She loved to travel especially to the beach with her daughter, sisters, niece and friends. She traveled to Maui, which was a lifetime dream, France, Spain, and many destinations.

Now Jesus has taken her hand and walks with her “In the Garden” and leads her down the streets of gold to reunite with her best friend and the love of her life. She sends this message to those left behind, “I love everyone and be kind.”

Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78, Woodsfield, Ohio from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2025 with David Cottrell officiating.

Burial will follow in the Guernsey County Memory Gardens, Cambridge, Ohio.
