NORMAN SEMPIREK

Norman Joseph Sempirek, 89 of Dillonvale passed away Sunday, June 1, 2025, at the Shadyside Care Center. He was born on August 1, 1935, in Dillonvale, OH the son of the late Frank and Mary (Kuccra) Sempirek.

Norm was retired from Wheeling — Pittsburgh Steel — Mingo Plant and was a devoted employee of the Wilson Funeral Homes, a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Dillonvale, Eagles #7572/Dillonvale, and the Fireman’s Club. He was known for his musical talent and was a member of several groups including: The 3 Yanks, Walley Jancura, Mitch Toto and Norm, Eddie La Panja & Company, and Denny Pasz Band, and was fondly known as “Storman Norman.” He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great — grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, his daughter, Terri Sempirek, brothers, Frank, and Carl Sempirek.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 68 years, Veronica “Ronnie” (Banal), son, Karl (Dana) Sempirek, grandchildren, Ashley, Courtney, Carlye and Brock, great — grand children, Clayton, Kyleigh, Kyndall and Cooper, brother, Jerry Sempirek and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, June 5, 2025, from 2 — 4 with Vigil at 3:30pm in the Funeral home and 6 — 8pm at the Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second St., Dillonvale, OH 43917. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 6, 2025, at 10am at St. Adalbert Catholic Church, 39 Smithfield St., Dillonvale 43917 with Fr. William Cross officiating. Burial to follow at Holly Memorial Garden, Pleasant Grove.
