PATRICK O’DONNELL

Patrick O’Donnell, a resident of Georgetown, Texas, died June 24, 2025, while on a business trip to Seattle. An extraordinary young man, he carried with him an abundance of love, joy and optimism and shared it with everyone. He was driven to make a difference in the world, starting the Cindy O’Donnell Foundation in honor of his late mother at age 26 to raise money through anannual golf tournament and other events to assist families and fund scholarships in his hometown of Shadyside, Ohio. He considered his greatest accomplishments his marriage to his wife, Sarina, and being a father to his two young sons, Sebastian and Leonardo. As a family, they enjoyed family dance parties, movie nights, game nights, traveling, and attending any and every sporting event.

Patrick was born Sept. 21, 1991, in Wheeling, West Virginia, to Cindy and Patrick O’Donnell. He graduated from Shadyside High School and then attended Ohio University, where he earned a degree in Parks, Recreation and Leisure Facilities Management in 2015. While employed in New Orleans, Louisiana, as an assistant golf professional, he met Sarina Natera while she worked for the city’s professional basketball team. They married in 2020 in Cozumel, Mexico, and lived in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota, before moving in 2023 to the Austin, Texas, metropolitan area. Patrick served as the Head Golf Professional at River Place Country Club. He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and loved everyone with his whole heart and was the best nickname giver of anyone out there. Other survivors include his father; brothers Evan (Janae) Holmes and their children Alexander and Caroline and Ryan Holmes (Haygen Mowder) and their children Rory and Harris; sister Mandi (Ron) Gregan and their children Wyatt, Rylie and Taylor. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and so many friends.
