JOHN REYNOLDS

John Joseph Reynolds, 83, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025, at Forest Hill Nursing Home, St. Clairsville, Ohio. He was born August 26, 1941, in Wheeling, West Virginia, a son of the late John Randolph Reynolds and Ruth Myrtle Luyster Reynolds.
John worked for Nickles Bakery, Martins Ferry, Ohio in his younger years and later at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Beech Bottom, WV, where he retired as a machinist and die maker. John proudly served as a volunteer fire fighter for many years at the Martins Ferry Liberty and Alerts Engine Companies. In his spare time, John enjoyed oil painting and landscape gardening.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Arleen Reynolds; nine brothers, Charles, Albert, Harry, Edward, Buddy, Robert, Lawrence, Harold, and Fred; and five sisters, Geraldine, Ada, Marie, Elizabeth, and Margie.
Surviving are his five children, Mike (Louise) Reynolds, Bill Reynolds, Vicki (Dennis) Conaway, Wendy (Roger) Hoard, and Renee’ (Jason) Vogler; four grandchildren, Lori (Jim) Dietrich, Bobby (Jess) Mansfield, Rachael (Neil) Ketchem, and Samantha Bennington; three great-grand children, Lacie and Raelynn Dietrich, and Brooks Mansfield; brothers- in-law; sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the loving and caring staffs of Forest Hill Nursing Home and Amedisys Hospice Care.
Honoring John’s wishes, private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
