JUANITA McFARLAND

Born on September 7, 1971, in Ohio, Juanita was the beloved daughter of Judith McFarland and the late Larry McFarland.

She is survived by her loving mother, Judith; her brothers, Jonathan (Michele) and Jerry McFarland; her uncle, Terry McFarland; her aunt, Jan (Richard) Leahey; nieces, Brittany and Chelsea McFarland; and nephew, Ace McFarland.

She was preceded in death by her father, Larry McFarland; her paternal grandparents, Arthur and Rochelle McFarland; maternal grandparents, Clifford and Bessie Hubble; and her nephew, Joshua McFarland.

Juanita enjoyed a joyful childhood, filled with lasting memories that her family holds dear.

As an adult, Juanita was a cherished member of the ResCare community. In recent years, she lived in Bethesda, and most recently at ResCare’s Main St. Group Home in Barnesville, OH.

Juanita was a vibrant and spunky woman. She loved going for walks, listening to upbeat music, swimming, and taking scenic drives through the Ohio countryside. A true foodie, she delighted in trying a wide variety of foods. Known for her bold personality, Juanita had a way of commanding attention and never hesitated to show you what was on her mind — a quality her loved ones admired.

Her legacy lives on — in her family, her friends, the many caregivers who supported her, and now, through her gift of life as an organ donor.

The McFarland family extends their heartfelt gratitude to ResCare and their dedicated caregivers, whose compassion and support enriched Juanita’s life and ensured she was always surrounded by care.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, July 24th, 2025, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 12 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville. A private burial will take place in South Lawn Cemetery in Coshocton, OH.
