LETHA “LEE” EKSTROM

Letha “Lee” Ekstrom, 98, of Martins Ferry, OH, passed away, Sunday, July 6, 2025, at her home.

She was born on November 25, 1926, in Bellaire, OH, to the late Richard and Goldie (Sutton) Kinder.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Ekstrom; two granddaughters, Jennifer Hunker and Lianne Posgai; two brothers and five sisters.

Most of all, Lee was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. In her younger years she was very active with the Rayland Presbyterian church where she served as a decon, she was a member of the Yorkville VFW Ladies auxiliary, Lee served as a past president of the DAV ladies auxiliary in Bellaire Ohio and was also an active member of the Dillonvale senior citizen center. She loved spending time with her family. Lee was always up for a car ride, especially if it included a “hamburdog” or a “whippy dip”. She enjoyed watching wildlife and feeding the birds. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

Lee is survived by two daughters, Dana (Shaun) Flanegin and Lana (Gary) Posgai; granddaughter, Garrett (Jerad) Schultz; grandson, Todd (Jennifer) Posgai; six great- grandchildren, Maleigha, Myah and Jex Schultz, Tyler Roush, Kimber and Olivia Posgai and previous son in-law, Gary Hunker.

Friends will be received to pay tribute to Lee and celebrate her life on Thursday, July 10th, from 4-8, at the Borkoski Funeral, Home, Tiltonsville, OH, and on Friday, from 10 am until the time of services of 11 am, with Pastor Dee Kovach, officiating.

Entombment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, OH.
