WILLIAM KITTLE JR.

William E. “Bill” Kittle, Jr., age 77, of Shadyside, Ohio, formerly of Moundsville, WV, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025, at WVU Medicine, Rey nolds Hospital. Born on December 5, 1947, in Wheeling, WV, Bill lived a life marked by dedication to his family, service to his country, and a love for the simple joys of life.

A proud graduate of Moundsville High School, Bill went on to serve his country with honor as a helicopter gunner in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he dedicated many years to his career in maintenance with AEP, from which he eventually retired.

Bill was a man of varied interests, finding joy in the thrill of amusement parks shared with his beloved son, Patrick, and the tranquility of deer hunting. His life was a testament to the importance of family, having shared over 40 years of marriage with his devoted wife, Patricia (Zacchini) Kittle.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Hilda (Nelson) Kittle, Sr., and his sister, Peggy Rine. He leaves behind a loving family, including his wife, Patricia; his son, Patrick Kittle; his nephew, Jeffrey Hammond and wife Tammy, along with their son, Justin.

Family and friends are invited to the funeral, celebrating Bill’s life on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 12:00 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 118 Grant Ave., Moundsville, WV 26003. Interment will follow at Halcyon Hills Cemetery, Wheeling, WV.
