JAMES “JIM” TEASDALE

James “Jim” C. Teasdale, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2025, at the age of 91, at Wheeling Hospital WVU Medicine, Wheeling, West Virginia.

He was born June 26, 1934 in Bellaire, Ohio a son to the late John and Gertrude (Perkins) Teasdale.

A proud U.S. Navy veteran, Jim was a man of many interests, most notably his talent for storytelling and his active social life. He was a dedicated member of several organizations that were dear to him, including the Ionic Lodge, the American Legion, the Sons of Italy, and the Bellaire Touchdown Club. He was also a member of the Bellaire Christian Church.

Jim was preceded in death by his loving wife, Karen “KJ” Teasdale, son, Eric Teasdale, Sr., sister, Arden Traylinek, and sister-in-law, Connie Teasdale.

He leaves behind his loving family, who will continue to honor his legacy: his sons, Jeff “Ty” (Jackie) Teasdale, Jason (Misty) Teasdale; grand- children, Christine (Landon) Lee, Jessica (Anthony) Dillard, Eric (Katie) Teasdale, Jr., Autumn (Blake) Reinstetle, Adison “Adie” Teasdale; great-grandchildren, Ty, Beckett, Emme, Lea, Abbie, Nico, Hudson, Riggs; and brother, Skip Teasdale.

Friends and family are to be received at the Bauknecht-Alt meyer Funeral Home 441 37th Street, Bellaire, Ohio, on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow with full military honors rendered by the Belmont County Veterans Association at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.

Jim’s legacy is one of warmth, camaraderie, and dedication to both his family and community. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
