IRENE CAMSKY
Irene Julia Camsky, of Bellaire, OH, born on December 6, 1938, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025, at the age of 86, at the Forest Hill Care Center in St. Clairsville, Ohio.
Irene was a former member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where she was actively involved with the Women’s Club and the church choir. Her faith and community were central to her life, and she cherished the friendships and connections she made through her involvement.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph G. Furry and Julia (Fotovich) Furry; her brothers, James Banyas, Joseph Furry Jr., Albert Furry, and John Furry Sr.; her sisters, Rose Evans and Margaret Furry; and her son-in-law, William McCormick Jr.
Irene is survived by her loving family: her daughters, Mary Kaye (Richard) Kennedy, Lynne McCormick, and Dawn “Renee” (George) Brandon; her son, Robert (Heidi) Camsky; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her long-time companion, Rick Rogers, who brought joy and companionship to her later years.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 1:30 p.m. at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home in Bellaire, Ohio, with Fr. Dan Heusel officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Bellaire, OH.
Irene will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and devotion to her family and community. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
