EDWARD ALAN HOOD
Edward Alan Hood, born July 18, 1933 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2025, in St. Clairsville, Ohio at the age of 92.
A proud US Army Veteran, Edward served his country with honor before retiring after many years as a warehouse manager at The Consolidated Coal Company.
He was a member of both The Lincoln Avenue United Methodist Church of Shadyside, and the American Legion Post 521.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Manley and Helen (Schultz) Hood, daughter Leslie Ann Pielech, and his brothers, Robert and Richard Hood.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 69 years, Marjorie (Crumbaker) Hood, daughter Robin Lynn Spivla and her husband Joe, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three nieces and two nephews.
Funeral and burial services will be private. A memorial service will be held at the Bauknecht-Alt- meyer Funeral Home in Shadyside, Ohio at a later date. Updated information on the date and time will be posted to Edward’s online obituary.
