RICHARD “DICK” SHRIEVE

Richard “Dick” Shrieve, 79, of Maynard, Ohio, died Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Amber Park Senior Living in Pickerington, Ohio.

He was born in Glen Robbins, Ohio, on April 30, 1946, a son of the late Maywood and Irene Gault Shrieve.

Dick was a retired employee of the former Ormet Corp. in Hannibal, OH and had previously worked at the former Saginaw Mining Company. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Dick enjoyed fishing, playing darts and was happiest watching and cheering on his kids and grandkids playing sports. He especially enjoyed watching St. Clairsville Red Devil football with his best buddy, David Cook.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Kay Cullen Shrieve; an infant daughter, Jennifer; Dick’s twin brother, Donovan “Don” Shrieve and his brother, Emerson “Sandy” Shrieve; and two sisters, Delores Shrieve and Carolyn Loper.

Dick is survived by his two sons and their spouses, Christopher Richard (Carol Lynn) Shrieve and Corey (Lisa) Shrieve; three grandchildren, Cullen Shrieve, Ava and Maddox Shrieve; several nieces and nephews; a special great niece, Kelsey (Travis) Smith and a special great nephew, Kurtis (Erin) Cullen, who he thought of as his own children.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday 4-8 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville, where services will be Friday at 11 a.m., with Pastor Scott Black officiating. The burial follows in Union Cemetery.
