BARBARA VICKER

Barbara Stazenski Vicker, 87, of Maynard, Ohio, died December 28, 2025, at Liza’s Place in Wheeling, West Virginia.

She was born January 26, 1938, a daughter of the late Stanley Stazenski and Claire Chuckery Stazenski and following her mother’s death at the age of four, she was raised by her Aunt Stella and Uncle Mike Bailer.

Barbara was devoted to caring for her loving family, church and community. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in St. Clairsville and was a former active member of St. Stanislaus Church in Maynard, the Catholic Women’s Club and the PNA Lodge 455. Barb was a proud 1956 graduate of Bridgeport High School.

Barbara cherished the time that she had by being around her family and watching her many grandchildren grow up. She especially enjoyed going to her granddaughters’ dance recitals and grandsons’ baseball games. She loved the farm life, baking many traditional Polish delights and her delicious food for the holidays, and watching hummingbirds in the summer flying around the beautiful flowers. In her early years, she liked working on ceramics. Barb was very religious and loved to serve and read for her church. She always volunteered to help make the food for many weddings, funerals and chicken barbecues. Additionally, one thing that excited her the most was going to Polka dances and dancing the night away with friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard S. Vicker; and daughter- in-law, Tammie Jo Vicker; and stepmother, Patricia Stazenski.

Barb is survived by her five children, Lance (fiancÈe Michelle) Vicker, Denise Vicker (Tim), Jimmy (Sonya) Vicker, Dave (Carla) Vicker, and Todd (Denise C.) Vicker; nine grandchildren, Matthew Vicker, David (Alex) Vicker, Corey Vicker, Amy (Cory) Palmer, Cheryl (Matt) Anderson, Allison Vicker, Lauren Vicker, Mallory Uscio, and Cheyenne Usico; ten great grandchildren, Noah, Bryson, Jordyn, Brock, Brooklyn, David Jr., Carter, Cooper, Sydney, and Reece. In addition, she is survived by her sister Arlene (Richard) Markus; and sisters- in-law, Ruthann Caddell, Patricia Pawlak and Linda Vicker, as well as many other loved ones.
