JAMES BARTYZEL

He was born September 7, 1951, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, a son of the late Frank Walter Bartyzel and Katherine “Katie” Kopral Bartyzel.

Jimmy retired from the office of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel’s, Martins Ferry Plant. Running was his passion and he enjoyed a good run almost as much as anything, other than his loving family or having a cold beer with his friends. He was generous with his time and his money, always being willing to give his last dollar or the shirt off his back to help others.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Frank David “Dave” Bartyzel.

Surviving are his sister-in-law, Debra “Debbie” Cunningham Bartyzel, his niece, Tonya (Jason) Bunting, his nephew, Frank Michael (Carrie) Bartyzel, and two nieces, Annabea and Autumn.

Family and friends will be received for a visitation at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Monday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
